alfred came online at 5:30pm CST. While argo and I were trying to figure out what to say, he sent us a message and then went offline right away. Here is what he said:

alfredalannevec: not much time to chit chat - always on the move - planet x isn't important to what we are doing but proper names are.

No hidden text or anything.

this post was created by me no part of it was stolen from argo

through long disscussion and research it has been discoverd that the final part of the playfair cipher was right under our noses the entire time.  An author named sitchin has frequently written about a planet named niburu.  Also named planet x.      Nibiru is the name for a planet Jupiter in Babylonian astrology and is associates with the god Marduk

New post at AlfredAlan.com.  New cipher in the source as well.  Easy to crack, same keywork (Marduk):

-- CF TD DC OP UD LG EV TM MQ WM NS LG CY --
BESURETODRINKYOUROVALTINEX
Be sure to drink your ovaltine

Also, after the SUN ARMIES thing, it says "solved?"  Is there something more?

The saying "Living my life's not hard enough." is a lyric from the Disturbed song he linked to "Prayer".

The title of the new post (Starting from Square 2) gave me a hunch.  Lisak's site showed all pages of the blog as updated, so I checked Page 2.  Believe it or not, there was a new funky cipher at the bottom of the source:

!-- 1-27,2-9,3-39,4-22,5-16,6-39,7-5,8-6,9-37,10-0,11-13,12-15,13-21,14-9,15-0,
16-0,17-1,18-24,19-44,20-24,21-38,22-2,23-0,24-12,25-19,26-9,15-45,16-29 --

All the first numbers are in order until the last two.  This does not match up with the first number cipher we got being that there are odd numbers above 11.

Ovaltine may be more then it looks.  In 1935, they started a promotion with Decoder Rings.  If you have ever seen the movie A Christmas Story, you would know.  The key to the ciphers with the ring was given by a letter and then a number, like B-12.  Similarily, the number cipher we have now contains various collections of dual-number sets.  The first number is between 1 & 26, which could stand for a letter A to Z.

What to do from there is not known yet, or if it is even the way to go.

I hate to go on a multi-post spree, but it sometimes seems needed.

There was an addition to the Alfred site that came after we found the other info.  It is found in the source of the error page of the site.  It states:

!-- Square 2 ends with "it studied the constellation" as its key --

Only two things can "study" constellations, kind of.  People and telescopes.  In the science link given on the Feb.21 blog, there was consistent reference to the Spitzer telescope and they also talk of two observations of planets found within certain constellations.  Those being Vulpecula and Pegasus.  These constellations also border each other.

So I am thinking that the plight of Alfred has reached a sudden and inconclusive end.  I have spent endless hours pondering how to proceed; the circles I have been running amongst have become tiresome.  The audience, however small, has left the theater and feels that they have sat through a performance for which there will be no finale.  No conclusions.  Just questions.  The hours spent starring and pondering in front of a dimly lit monitor till the sun peeked above the horizon now feel distant and wasted.

I have sat looking long and hard at an empty stage for long enough.  Am the only one left in this auditorium?  Questionable.  For months now the aisle has called to the audience and most have succumb.  I now feel it my time to heed its message and walk towards the door.  There are more important things in life then waiting for the next act.... then waiting for a finale.... that may never come.

I will leave the light on.

Argo out.

this maybe a long shot but if you look at This link to wikepedia you will notice that there is an article that is not refrenced and has been tagged. it talks about internal heat sources and keeping a planet warm. just a thought

He really meant it. He did leave. I wonder if Capcom will reveal everything to us ever? Please? :D

I don't understand why they bother with this complexity if the plot itself wasn't in both depth and execution. =/

I thought I would never post here again.  Never meant to, but then this happened.

I was making a cipher contest on another forum I post at.  The first cipher I used was similar to one used in this ARG.  After solved, I was going to link to the UnFiction forums to show where I got the idea.  I found more then I bargained for.

The topic was necroed.  3 months later.  By "5(21)81(14)_111".  Seem strange?  It is.  Even SpaceBass (Head UnFiction Admin) thought so.  Check it out.

I tried IMing Alfred.  Nothing... yet.

I don't know if it an attempt to bring the ARG back or just a sad prank, but it is worth checking out.  I don't know if I want to enter this theater again, but if I see a show start, I will have to check it out. ;)

There is a reason this topic is still stickied.:D
