you don't have to have unfair teams just be on with your friends. if you move to your friends team anyone can move to the other team to even it out. i like the pc version tho because ranked games let you choose teams which is nice and i never have problems with uneven teams unless people play retarded and try to mass up one team which isn't the point of having team switching.

Lost Planet's Ranked rooms were based on one thing many people lack appreciation for; fairness. You see, it divides players by rank, so each team is as evenly matched against the other as it can be.
If you had the ability to all team up with your friends against noobs, more than likely it wouldn't be fair.
Player matches are not pointless, as that's where you can play on the same team with your friends. Sure it doesn't count towards your stats, but then again the matches are probably not fair either. It's probably you and all your friends against people who are still figuring out the game.
Don't look to see a "Halo" styled match making either.
I'm all for fairness that's why i want a clan/party system for ranked matches. I would much rather play against another clan or group of friends that an unorganised bunch randoms... I don't want to play against my friends but i do want to unlock characters. :(

How could not be fun playing against your friends? That's the funnest part...killing him a bunch of times....God, I wouldn't even buy Colonies if I couldn't play against my friends - that's the funnest part.

No, ranked matches have always been annoying in LP since you can't switch teams. I like to win, so I play with good players. But when you're the only one on the other team of mostly terrible players, and getting spawn camped out the wazoo by your friends, then come back to me and tell me you like it.
And as for player matches, where you can switch, they're even more annoying and unplayable since most people refuse to even out the teams after you and your friends hand them their pride on a plate. Overall, LP's lobby system is horrendous. But I guess it's something we have to put up with.

thats exactly it. i love to play with my friends and get off of the noobs teams. but almost always people screw up the teams for no reason. like i swear at least 99% of the time after speding the entire 20 seconds trying to even the teams at the last second like 5 people switch to one team completely messing it up. i wish there was a better way of team switching. maybe the host could set up certain options or limits for team switching.

360 and PC?! That sucks, do you know how easy it is to aim with a mouse! This will ruin it big time, it takes about 2/3 seconds to aim with a 360 controller and less that a second to aim with a mouse.
Point and click VS adjust, adjust, adjust, adjust, **** HE MOVED!

360 sticks are easier to use and easier to learn and i think they are more fun. mouse just owns everyone and will kill everyone. thats one of the reasons why i hate cross platform. but i am really mad that i have to pay for live and i get nothing out of it. just a connection to the 360. no live services or anything.

Easier to use than what, Trackballs? It's more fun spending 5 seconds trying to aim at an opponent using a 360 pad than simply aiming without thought using a mouse? oooook :confused:
Gamepads were not designed for FPS'! they are just awkward and clumbsy and that's why FPS versions are slowed down compared to PC version so you even have a chance!:eek:

after you play on the 360 a lot you will get so used to it then your hands will just go crazy and you can hit things easily. i played it so much i could get headshots while moving the crosshair and then get another one a second later. its easier to do on the sticks but the mouse is more accurate if you spend the time to do it.
