dummy grenades are WAY underrated IMO
they are the most useful against mechs, can be thrown the farthest(of the non disk variety), and do the most damage

Actually, I think gum grenades are the most underrated. Recently I've found myself preferring them over all except the disk and even that only when the situation calls for it. I'm sure everyone knows by now that gums are the best to stick on a knocked down enemy; as for range, it's all a matter of how high one is and how high one aims. From the top of the tower on Dilapidation, I've gotten gums onto the buildings of the far side, which is essentially as far as disk grenades are usually employed. Gums are also less noticeable, so if I see someone walking down a hallway, I'll stick one to the corner and as he comes down shooting me, well, we all know what happens. Also, it might be just me, but I believe the animation for the gum grenade is shorter than the one for disk. Anyway, they're all good, just had to stick up for the gum grenade after seeing it at the bottom of people's lists.

Don't take offense, there has to be a last place. Contrary to my earlier outburst, they aren't useless- I'd rather have Gum Grenades than no grenades. They're utilitarian in their uses though.

plasmas are definetly my least favorite. Its so random when i use them if the opponent or VS will even be frozen

plasmas are definetly my least favorite. Its so random when i use them if the opponent or VS will even be frozen i started to like plasma grenades more because i had to. i spawn with those 75% of the time. you can throw them quickly, and they have a nice path and distance.... but you're right, it's very random as to whether or not the stun enemies.

my new favorite nades Doesn't seem that way to me. I usually see a lot of people using them when they have them. Sometimes I see a minefield of them, but that's a waste as they are pretty easy to notice. I like them for the same reasons you do and that they actually explode upon impact so you don't have to set them off with a bullet in order to get them to blow when you want them to. Like gum or discs; if you stick them to someone, they can still fire back and manage to kill you before they set off or can go kamikaze (I do this sometimes) on your *** and take you down in the same explosion.

Personally, I think the grenades are too powerful... and as someone who doesn't really use VS's as much as they should, would like to see people spawn with less of them. But I see why they're as strong as they are, and why people spawn with as many as they do... because if you spawn and there's a VS shooting you it's your only defense.
But I just hate owning people with a machine gun and with their last sliver of health they throw a grenade at both of our feet and kill us both.

I can't pick a favorite, I use all of them and love them all. Best grenades in a game to date.
Plasma-perfect anti mech weapon on foot up close. nothing better than a plasma to stun, grapple and close range shotgun blast to whittle health with.
Dummy-great decoys and good to kill around corners.
Hand-good all around, great for tight spots and quick kills.
Gummy-Great for mechs, very very lethal on a wall near a corner, pop on up and shoot for a quick kill when the enemy comes calling.
Disc-My favorite to throw. A frisbee grenade!!! Perfect for those medium range kills, and the shoot to splode option is great for a bad throw.
