Rolling out of energy gun isn't as hard as it looks.

Right before it hits you, you roll INTO the blast. Roll to the side and you die in one hit. Roll too soon and you die in one hit. Better to roll late then too early. Just remember to roll INTO the shot.

It's a necessary weapon with the mechs in the game and isn't the most powerful in the game. Just practice, not much else you can do :)

Seriously you all can say what you want but the weapon is too easy to use. And to those that camp spawn points with it you are the bottom feeders of LP. I bet none of you stand a chance on elemination with only a machine gun.

I'll agree that it's a bit overpowered in the fact that it's REALLY easy to use AND does so much damage, but really... once you know how to dodge it, it's not as bad as it was previously experienced. Don't get too close and keep shooting, when you get an opening. Tossing a few grenades, during your openings, also helps as it can push them into making a poor move.

As for spawn camping... just make use of your spawn shield. There really isn't much they can do to you and if they claim it's cheap, they should just... you know, NOT spawn camp. If they're in a VS, however? Take this time to run. Not stand and fight.

the animation of getting in and out of a VS keeps you from taking any damage. so when you see the green ball of energy coming at you in your VS, simply get out right before it hits you, then get back in. just keep doing this til the guy with the energy gun runs out of thermal energy(which will be only after a few charged up shots probably), or he gives up. it works like a charm.

I did this to Dreamweaver711 (my cousin) and he was like "you know this game way too well...". lol!

The only time this isn't very effective is when you're running around in a hardballer in midair. You can't just eject out of it. It has to land first.

gar! i hate that! i have given myself the time once tho; i just flew in a wide arch so it had to chase me in a circle, and i got out just in time as it hit the VS. it was on training facility above the maze.
