I just hit 30% and have been penalized. Two times I disconnceted was because I had to go do something shortly after I started the game, and the third was not my fault at all, I got disconnected. So will my DNF be at 30% forever, or will it reduce slowly over time?
PSN: LegendSoldierX Wii Code: 6667-3670-1988-8139 The Capcom games I have are Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (Wii), Marvel vs Capcom 2 (PSN), Super Street Fighter IV (PS3), and Lost Planet 2 (PS3). Add me if you want!

Finish Any kind of Match------->Reduce DNF%
Fix'd. (I only play player match and faction)
Eventually, your DNF will go back to 0% as long as you don't d/c

And while a disconnect isn't your fault, the dnf doesn't mean left game by your choice. It means "Did Not Finish". It isn't really a percentage, but that is just something we'll hold over Capcom. In general yeah, if you play more games and finish them, then your dnf will come down under 30% in a decent time.

Yeah, time doesn't affect your DNF, nor does the reset of faction matches. You have to finish matches.

It truly can be a pain, but just complete however many matches it tells you to, and you'll be fine. We can be thankful Capcom atleast lets us know how many we need. >.<;

I HATE the DNF% system. This morning i had to get off fast and i had no choice but to turn my system off. I have 10% DNF now. Grr...

DNF% is probably the stupidest thing ever. Sometimes I have to quit the game when someone else in the house wants to use the TV, and I shouldn't be penalized for quiting the game when I don't want to.Considering how long it takes to get career points and level up in this game, you should never be intentionally blocked from getting them.
|
|
Also if someone has a couple of communication errors their DNF% could quickly go above 30%, and they would be screwed until they play 7 games or whatever.

I'd rather take some collatteral damage through connection errors (I have ended up with 10% due to the host disconnecting. Sure I was mad, but I got over it looking at the big picture.) and having to leave unexpectedly than give people free reign to up and leave a game for worse reasons like "OH MAH GAH! I AM LOSING!!! **** THIS AND EVERYONE ON MY TEAM, I'M GONE!!!" which is likely FAR more common. If DNF stops some people from leaving my game just coz it's not going the way they imagined with them rofflestomping , then I am ALL for it. I can't help but say it. Step back, look beyond. Look at the big picture and think of all the ways DNF is actually helping you, provided you aren't the sort to bail on a match often, or have a real poor connection that can't stay up for a match.
