Check it guys.

30 min of gameplay and 20 minutes interview with Andrew Szymanski.

In brief :

-a lot of weapons, more like LP1/LPC

-rolls are in the game and they are quick, like in LP1

-grappling hook works much different than in previous games

-you can carry 2 weapons + pistol (infinite ammo) and sword

-you can upgrade your RIG

-there will be some customization, but not so crazy like in LP2

-many collectables and side missions

Nice, this is starting to look really good.  I was a bit skeptical at first.  Some nit-picky stuff is the crab akrid animation is bad, looks like he is ice skating rather than walking.  The camera angle is to zoomed in on jim and the gernades look really wimpy.

I'm liking the fact that it kept the arcade shooting style and roll and didn't opt for the boring hide behind everything and shoot like gears.

Awesome, thanks for posting.

Aside from the camera options, I'm ecstatic to see they are keeping the bounding box (the floating, free-aim crosshair that is especially useful for gamepad players) as well.  The roll is quite fast and crisp looking but I was not able to tell from what I watched if it keeps the frame stagger/damage absorption properties of the other games.  In any case, I really get the sense that these guys definitely understand Lost Planet and may even read some of our posts on this board, the way they generously clarified these things for us in these recent vids.

I suppose the biggest question now is how the multiplayer will be.  Personally, I think I'm sold because they kept the bounding box, the rolls, and the camera orientations.  However, I hope the MP won't feel like an afterthought, because I'm always more interested in spending time in that over any sort of campaign.

I like what I'm seeing.  Really do hope a demo comes out.  I want to get my hands on this!  Also nice to see collectibles back in.

Keep on rollin'

I wonder how the grenades will work out.  It looks like throwing them will no longer require committing to a substantial animation penalty.  Now they come out fast, and you no longer need to plant your feet firmly on the ground.  You can toss them rather casually while strafing.

I like story and mood they created, i like characters - looks like SPARK hired good cut scenes director, i like locations and new open world idea

 but....

If you compare animations with some other titles coming out in 2013 (Watch Dogs or new Tomb Raider) it looks  very, very poor. It looks bad even compared to older games. Not only character animations but also Big Akrids. Please guys (Spark & Capcom) - polish it...

What ive noticed:

-Seems like you cant jump anymore...

-Grapple hooking looks like it akes alot more effort...probaly is going to be made useless in multiplayer

-Stil cant tell if you can grenade shoot or if the invicibility rolling animation is still there.

Otherwise looks nice so far

No idea about grenades after watching this gameplay , but the guy who`s playing it uses roll to avoid Crab Akrid or small Akrids. So just like in previous games. After this and their comment i assume invulnerability is still there.

i thought that the data post did not melt snow till the end of LP:EC

anyways.  hate the off center carecter.  what if u want to hide behing a wall on your right side.  u wont see anything to the left.  new grapaling hook sucks.  this looks more like red faction 3 then lp3.
