where did you hear that? Everyplace i've seen suggests that you can customize your character at the start of each chapter of each episode. Naturally if it's your first play through and you're on episode 1, you're only gonna have merc/snow pirate parts.
They make you play through the campaign as the default characters first so the story will make sense. Think about how confusing it will look to be fighting carpetbaggers while you're dressed like one
I was just on the Lost Planet facebook fanpage and thier saying that u dont have to beat the game first. I understand what ur saying about the story and all...but what if we can have a custom character for just that group we play as in each chapter.

you can't use carpet bagger parts until you unlock them, which you only can during the mission featuring them. So basically, on ep2 on your first play through, you can only use variants of the nevec soldiers and probably mercenaries from chapter 1. This is the impression I got.

are we going to get allot of big breasted dumb girls in slutty Halloween costumes like you see in most video games? the female character with the Black and white stripped Stockings has me worried
