hey!
i have a question about lost planet on the PS3.
I look on the back on the case and it says that it will take 5GIGs of storage. Is that optional or will it install itself before playin?
if anyone has it on the Ps3 please let me know...I want to buy it but i only got a 40gig ps3 and most games like DMC4 And MGS 4 have taken nearly 8 gigs....

The install is not optional. You have to use 5 gigs to play the game. Sorry.

Yea, my HDD is filling up too.  But trust me, Lost Planet is worth it!

i know many people complain about that but really it is better than not installing. because blu rays are so much slower than dvds the access times are way lower. maybe if sony can update the ps3s with a faster blu ray drive then there won't be a need to install. i know they have came out with at least 6x blu ray drives and i believe the ps3 has a 2x. if you really need to you can always upgrade the ps3's drive. i have thought about it in the past so i can install linux onto it. btw nice that people are on the forums again. they were dead for like 6 months.

[/quote] Hmm...i heard a rumor that you can conact a normal HDD into a ps3 and use that..never tried it, but soon will.. As for lost planet, your right...its is a great game becasue i brought it for my younger bro on xbox 360 at release, LOL... i just want my own copy..maybe i might reconsider.....

yea it was in my above post. you can get a laptop 2.5in hdd and put it in.

It is nice to see friends back posting! The PS3 version isn't my fav, but it's still the same gameplay, which I love. I thought about replacing my HDD but it was too much $ for how little I play my PS3.

yea funny that the entire country is cold and snowing and down in texas we are getting nothing. yesterday the temperatures tied the all time record of hottest in December.
