oh crap i will be getting ready to leave for a week on vacation......**** now i will have to take my xbox with me. i just called the hotel and they have high speed internet in the room so i am cool with that. i might have to take my laptop with me as well

Just called 5 different places. Found a Gamestop with 2 Wiis in. Going after work, so I may not be on tonight. I'm always excited about getting a new game, and especially a new system. Now all I need is a PS3! (wedding gift hint hint) See you guys later! I'm off to buy a Wii and become a real man! :D

Just called 5 different places. Found a Gamestop with 2 Wiis in. Going after work, so I may not be on tonight. I'm always excited about getting a new game, and especially a new system. Now all I need is a PS3! (wedding gift hint hint) See you guys later! I'm off to buy a Wii and become a real man! :D
lol! I know how that is. When i got that Playstation home, I was all excited. Then I freaked out because I didn't know how to use the A/V cables with the VCR. :o
All I had was a demo disc with it at the time and then I got Final Fantasy VII as my first game for it. Awesome.
Definantly got that again with the PS2, Xbox, GC, 360....yeah any system. :rolleyes:

Oh, yeah, Vampire Rain is available for download on the japanese marketplace. It's a pretty decent demo and there is some Xbox Live MP on there but so far I just played a mode where someone holds a flame the longest or reaches 100. It's like Oddball on Halo 2 only you can still shoot and stuff. It's not bad but it's not the best either.

I can't believe how hard it is to find those things. It's been nine months since launch. You'd think Nintendo would get a clue and increase production by now.
I'm still saving up cash for a Wii and hopefully one game. But maybe I should start looking now for a place that actually has one or more first.

I read that those things won't become easy to find until 2008. That was in a GameInformer mag I think. :/

I can't believe how hard it is to find those things. It's been nine months since launch. You'd think Nintendo would get a clue and increase production by now.
I think Nintendo does it on purpose to keep demand up. That way they don't risk putting a ton on the shelves, not selling them all, then demand goes down, price goes down, profit goes down. Stupid business tatics. We just want Wiis!
BTW I got mine yesterday, and tonight I plan to go get Zelda, HD Component Cables, the Nyko Charger packs and dock, and possibly a Wii bag since we're going to the Dells and may bring it with. Mrs Snow bought me the 360 bag and it's so much easier to bring it with me anywhere. So I think I'll be doing that for the Wii too.
That system is crazy fun for sure. If I had my choice of only 2 systems from this gen, I'd stick with our Wii and 360. Each systems' specifics are the best out there; the 360's online system, HD graphics, and ever present fast paced shooter games along with great exclusive titles(Lost Planet! Yay!), and the Wiis revolutionary motion sensitive controls, inviting gameplay(you think it would take some getting used to, but after about 2 minutes you forget all about the controller, it just feels so natural), and of course it has amazing first party and exclusive titles out and coming.
Wii60 all the way. I thought about getting a PS3... but I have officially lost interest. It's too expensive anyways. Not enough games on it have caught my interest either. Buy a Wii. It'll have some online games soon too. Nothing like being on XBL, but it adds value none-the-less.
You know too, just to throw it in there; I thought the Wii's graphics would be pixelated on my LCD, but in fact they are near perfect with just the composite connection. I was utterly blown away at how good it looks on an HDTV. And Gamecube games look amazing when played through the Wii, which is a huge improvement since the cube looks terrible in HD. With the Wii, it has a sharp crisp image with no pixelation. Litterally, on my 32in LCD in 720p, the Wii had absolutely no pixelation, just a clear and sharp image all the way through. (The Wii outputs at 480i with the standard composite connection, but when I get the component cables it'll give me the option to output at 480p. It sounds low, but it looks amazing for some odd reason.)
