hey,
can someone give me a low down on this game?
just really how it feels (maybe in comparison to other games)
alot of my buddys have an xbox 360 so i'm thinking of buying one but if i do i want a solid lineup of games convincing me to,
and right now that contains gears and gears only as thats the only 360 game i've ever played, well i played old school DOOM on my buddys 360, that **** was funny as hell.
i've heard lots of mix reviews on this game and it's kinda got me second guessing,
so i figured go right to the fans, see what makes it great to them.

any helps cool,
thanx in advance!

ps. i realize how annoying these types of questions can be and for that i'm sorry.

Its not really like any other FPS.. well its a 3rd person perspective. the action can be fast paced, but not insane like Unreal...  you also have a better sense of your environment, i think in part from the 3rd person perspective and the really great animation... it doesnt feel like your a floating camera everywhere you move. ( like halo or resistance or alot of other FPS). I really like that about this game.

best thing to do is download the free demos on the xbox live marketplace. They have both the Single player, and multiplayer demos available.

I have no problem with it. I will still purchase the game on whatever system it is better on.

Unless its some kinda FPS /w online multiplayer.. then ill most likely pick it up on the 360 so I can play with you bastids! :p

Yeah. I do that too. I mostly get things on Xbox or Xbox 360 because they have HDDs and have the space for whatever the game saves require.

And the Xbox and Xbox 360 are also better for FPS in that they have triggers. Feels better.

they switched the the L2 and R2 buttons on the PS3 Six Axis to trigger style buttons. They dont have the exact same "trigger style" concave curve to them, but they function the same. I still prefer the 360 Controller though. as of now i still would rather have vibration in the controller rather than motion sensing... but theres not enough games yet that take advantage of it.. so time will tell what sony does with it.

Still would be nice to have both, but I guess they cant get around the vibration interfering with the motion sensing.

With Live service coming out for Vista and Vista/XB360 games being played online together(Shadow Run) Computer gamers are not going to take it lightly if they are charged for online play. M$ might think about doing something like this.

I know, I've played Motor Storm at Gamestop. Feels very weird. I actually liked the PS2 controller more than the Xbox controller. And I favored controller S over the "Duke". But now I can't see a controller better than the 360's coming along anytime soon. I do like the Wii-mote though. Who knew that a simple game of virtual bowling could be fun? Gotta get one to replace my cube and so I can play Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles. Just wish they'd get a black one out. The white looks cool and matches the controller, but Nintendo has been about colors since the N64 and the Gamecube. And the Gameboys. It's gonna happen with the Wii.

I agree with most of that.. espcially having dedicated servers. Both for gaming and downloads. (but esp gaming).. think about all the lag issues in LP that would be solved  .

Other than thier being a lack of players with headsets on the playstation network.. the gameplay experience has been very good. I have yet to experience any gameplay lag issues with both resistance and motorstorm.

Oh snap. First GTA4, DMC4, and now FFXIII (possibly). Check it out.

Now all we need is Metal Gear Sold 4 and Sony will be out of their top exclusives.

I don't think it'll be the same Final Fantasy on all systems though. Nowadays, Squarenix seems to be taking a multiplatform game-variant approach (see FFXII: Revenant Wings for DS, or FF: Crystal Chronicles for GC). I just hope more quirky Japanese titles show up on the 360 this time around, since it should be the cheaper system to develop for. Afterall, it wasn't the big names that eventually made the PS2 unique to me (though that helped), but the small titles that most people would never buy nor give a chance to.

No doubt... I like so many of the Japanese games that never make it to North America, thats what I loved about the Sega Saturn too.

Now that I got 3.10 OE-A running on my PSP im playing japanese games like Initial D :Street stage, Gundam Seed: Rengou vs Zaft, and Bleach heat the soul 3 !
