I don't know how long I'm gonna be single, but when I do get someone special :o she's gonna have to be at least half as much into gaming and stuff as I am. Might sound a little stupid to some but I don't intend to give up any of my ways. Basically, I'm expecting a female version of my self. :confused:

haha no no its about the way i started. actually i sold my original xbox and all my halo addictions when i started dating her so she wouldnt know i was a geek. but i found out that she was a snes kinda girl, so we played alot on the gamecube, and i always let her win. but then one day i had a super smash bros melee party at my place with a bunch of guys. i always win, not trying to sound egotistical, seriously, i've never lost a tournament of melee. well she didnt know that, cuz i always let her win. so she watched me whoop all my friends and knew i was letting her win, so she told me to play for real with her, and got very angry that she couldnt come close to winning. eventually i got the 360 and got her into fable, which rocked cuz she didnt have to worry about me beating her, but after she beat it she never got into any other games because she knew i could beat her score or whatever, so it took the fun out of it for her. im trying to warm her up more to lost planet tho. here's to wishfull thinking! :D

i do have it in my bedroom which i think makes the wife mad cause while she is watching her 13 inch TV in the bedroom i am down the hall getting owned on the 51 incher

Yeah. Looking forward to Super Smash Brothers Brawl on the Wii. I'll get one of those eventually because even the game that comes with it (Wii Sports) is fun. Easy to learn and fun to do. I'm still trying to figure out who I'm best with because my cousin ALWAYS uses Link and tears me up. I used to be the **** with Kirby on the N64 but now I switch between Zelda/Sheik and Star Fox. I think I wanna try playing as Metaknight on Brawl, though. He looks wicked.
Anyway, I think you need to show her that games are more about fun, especially in your situation. If I hated every game I got my *** kicked in, I'd have very few multiplayer games. I think the Wii could get her into gaming a lot more from my experience with it. You should get it when you have the money after getting your apartment and all that.
Look at this though. An open thread is available, and we'rd still off topic here. I'm ashamed. :(
