The GameFAQs page for Lost Planet is here:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/xbox360 … 31114.html

Something missing from that assortment of FAQS is a guide on the differences in layouts on multiplayer maps. If someone with more free time than I have would be able to put together a comprehensive list of the differences, I think it would greatly benefit the Lost Planet community.

I have always wanted to know this as well. I haven't been to memorize all of them yet, probably because I play random so much. I agree that this would be a great asset to the community. I have searched the web for this many times and have not found any walkthourghs/guides that show anything like this. A aerial view of each map/layout with all VS, weapons, data post, and spawn locations would be ideal.

then again it's nice to explore the maps each and every one of them by layout that way you know what's whatand the other guys has to do the same. Usually a few of us will play a map thru all it's layouts or if someones not faliliar with it tell them where the datpost's are or buddy up, while a walkthru would be nice it might take the fun out of exploring the layouts yourself...

As long as i have played the game, I still dont know any of the map layouts by number. Just "if this weapons here, then that weapon/mech must be over there"

yea i am the same as zmilla. with the exception of a few maps. i know the layouts of a few of the maps, especially canyon, by heart. the intersesting thing about all the layouts is that 1&2 are the same, 3&4 are the same, 5&6 are the same. so its more like there is only 3 layouts. its like this on all the maps. even the new ones. but yea, the easiest way to tell the layout is to look at mech & data post location and weapons placement. that knowledge has saved my butt more times than i can count.

Then what was the point of making 6 numbers if there are only 3 actual layouts? Doesn't make sense. Maybe there's a difference between weapon and VS respawning time between the two numbers.

basically the difference between layouts is the spawn points, so if you were to have 2 matches, everyone being on the same teams, layout 1, your gonna be on the left side, and then layout 2, you switch to the right side ? so post, mech and weapons there are 3 actual layouts for those, but there are 3 reverse spawn points basically for the other 3 layouts...

I agree.

This is something I want personally as well as something I think would be a big help to beginning multiplayers (esp. on post grab--I hate it when someone is telling me "there are 3 easy kills at post 3!  post 3!" and I don't know which one they're talking about :( )

Anyway, this is me putting a bounty on this.  If anyone takes it upon themselves to fill in this blank, drop me a line about it and I'll make it worth your while in Capcom goodies (Lost Planet and more, depending on how many Lost Planet goodies you've already got!)

best,
Seth

Ask me about my beard.  Or don't.  It's cool either way.

Ill definately volunteer this ... pretty easy since all the layouts with weapons, mechs, amd spawn points are pretty much memorized ... somewhat of a photographic memory i have ... i just need one thing ...an overhead layout of all the levels if its possible ? ill label them like a map, and also get some screenshots of the areas ....
