hey snow, i'll have to jump in one of your games soon, meanwhile back at the batcave... i was just thinking that the reason it might be taking so long to come out for this map pack is ***hopefully*** they are adding more than just maps, perhaps nem game modes? or weapons, of course i'm just spittin right now but one could hope

No! All you gotta do is what I did. Buy her a 360 and Lost Planet of her own, and watch the addiction slowly take place as she plays as well. Then you can be like her and I; we play quite a bit together now. It's a blast. And no more yelling from her about me playing too much. :D
Unfortunately, although it is awesome to play with your girl, it'll cost you an arm and a leg, especially since you need the 360 with the HDD to download and play the new maps, and I also bought her the collectors edition with the speacial map. :rolleyes:

Speaking of Map pack #3, my bet is June 12th will be the release date or sometime right around there because that will be the six month aniversay of the game...
And does anyone know if there will be a fouth map pack... The LP junkie in me is rising to top again... :o

Doubt it. Would be nice, but Capcom will probably use the time to further the interest in newer games or just possibly the games to come *coughlostplanet2cough* excuse me... Um, but yea, I guess only time will tell.

First let me say, lost planet 3 rocks. Its a really great game to play and Capcom did a great job on it.
But I really dont get the map packs. All the other games are letting out map packs with 6-8 maps at a time. which will keep people busy for months at a time. Lost planet puts out 2, and now nothing probably for another month or so. and just from playing online you can see a steady flow of people not being on lost planet but moving to the other games.
why on earth if they wanted to wait a month wouldnt they put out battlegrounds this month? and why with such a great game couldnt what appears to be the last map pack coming come with like six maps instead of 2 to keep the fans going till lost planet 2.
and why NO NEWS?

yes there are some slim pickin's game wise in the lobby, but it's the same with alot of the games lately it should pick up in a month or so

Well with Gears of War having gotten new maps about a week ago, and the Halo 3 beta coming out for the public this week, I doubt there'll be many games on the LP servers for awhile, at least for the next month. I just haven't been on myself for other reasons.

i wouldnt say it has to do with the halo beta or GOW maps .... im going to say its because of 1 thing ... SUMMER ! i mean think about it .... winter = cold and everyone wants to stay in and play LP ... SUMMER = hot and everyone wants to go out, party, meet girls/guys @ bars... CHORES such as cuttin the grass !! ... it makes sense !

I don't know about you but I'd rather play LP than mow the lawn, but that's just me;) anyways I think both of these things will greatly contribute to a steady decline on the game, hopefully people will be around for the new maps and that'll pull them back again...

Maybe if Capcom releases all the map packs for free say one month after battleground :D
So we can enjoy them in the random map setting since we can't change the settings without closing the room :mad:
