Anyone know of any sites that are hosting ladder matches? If so post here! Let's try and join one together and battle through there.

I posted a suggestion at Gamebattles.com, since they're also supported by MLG. It would be great to see this game on MLG.

I was thinking of starting a ladder up for this game on http://www.sonicarmy.com because I think the game really has some potetial for some longevity with die hard fans.

The only problems with starting a ladder for it are:

- I don't have the game yet.  It is being shippped to me right now but I problaby won't see it till mid next week (lame).

- No current teams on Sonic Army currently are playing the game so I have no "base" of teams to start a ladder off with.

- If you read the rumors on this site you will see there might be no need for ladders.  I know at the same time that ladders are good for teams that would like to be able to add rules to matches that go outside of what the game can do or be able to arrange matches in advance or teams that get frustrated on how most in game team ranking systems are abused by teams trying to rank up and they are a showing of which team cheats the most and not which team is actaully the best.  I was waiting to see what might come out because maybe the devs have come up with a way to do things to solve a lot of the traditional problems with in game ranking systems.

Overall,  If some people are interested in getting a ladder setup on Sonic Army for the game and want to help setup the rules and organize it I would be more then happy to help get it up.  If you look at the ladder itself we just finished writing the custom code a couple months ago and it is a very solid ladder with a lot of features.  Otherwise,  if a ladder does not work out for the game we are close to finsishing the tournament bracket code for the ladder and we will probaby host some tourneys down the road.

Comparitively, your site has three thousand registered user whereas gamebattles has over half a million. The level of attention and potential for game growth would be better suited at Gamebattles.com.

Again, the site is also co-oped with MLG. MLG brings a lot of attention to games that are well deserving.

Well,  You can either be part of a large gaming site where you are just a number and have no real say or be part of a smaller gaming site and actually be part of a gaming community where your input means something.

Really,  it is all just personal preference.  Some people like to compete on sites with a ton of teams.  The downside is that many times teams that don't conduct themselves appropriately are not handled properly and the other is it is easy for teams to "rank up" (how many times have you looked at a ladder on GB and looked at the match history of their last 10 teams and 3/4 of the teams don't exist anymore because they were just created to jack up the teams score).  At the same time if you compete on a smaller site you will not get the variety of competitors that you get on a larger site.  You still probalby get as many games in but you play the same teams more often.

Personally,  I like playing on a smaller ladder because you get the chance to actaully know a little more about the teams you are playing.  Plus,  a lot of teams on smaller sites are there beacuase they are very seriouse about playing and therefore they are very tough competitors.  Don't get me wrong - - there is a place for big sites like GB.  Just remember that priority #1 for a site like that is profitability.  If they don't see a ladder that is profitable they either won't create it in the first place or axe it down the road.  That is how Sonic Army came into existance in the frist place.  It was created to support a game That Gamebattles no longer did.

Gamebattles has been managed by the players since its creation as Socombattles.com on the release of the first major console MMO Shooter. It maintains fair keeping of abusive clans, I've been around the site for a while.

yeah i cant wait for Gamebattles to open its ladder for this game, sadly though most clans will be playing gow and R6V so i have a feeling it will be a tight nit group of the same clans but if its picked up by MLG more people will come play and enhancing the competion

I'm still working on something's with XtremeCondition.com, but I've seen the clan support rise for Lost Planet, so I've been thinking for these past couple of weeks about starting an organized clan ladder.
