If you have the money, go for something like a Hauppauge for HD recording (It's what I use). Pricey, but I think the results are worth it. Console hooks up to the hauppauge, and from there it splits to your PC and TV. You can play games normally on your tv while recording to PC at the same time. www.amazon.com/Hauppauge-1212-Definition...
