I have to agree, default characters are usually the best to use because people dont have the same taste in custom characters.  I myself like people to stick with preset characters like in halo machinima (it bugs me when they mix around parts)

I can get on the PS3 side of things relatively soon. I have a  Bluetooth and I unlocked everything and  all that so I'm good to go for whatever you guys are doing.
