Now that a PC version has been announced my only fear is that they will remove the 4-player offline splitscreen "couch" co-op feature when they port it over.  The PC version is set to release in Fall 2010 so hopefully they willfocus on giving PC gamers that feature. This petition is specififcally for asking Capcom to put the 4-player offline splitscreen "couch" co-op feature in the PC version just like they did in the console versions. So please sign if you support it.

PS- For those of you who say that people don't play couch co-op on PC, you are wrong couch co-op on PC was what got me into gaming. I know that couch co-op games for the PC are very rare and apart from the Lego games and Trine few exist. But I'm sure that there are many gamers who don't have a console and just a high end PC.  So if they wantto play a game with their brother or their friends all theyt have to do is plug in a few Logitech controllers and game on.  If you are a PC gamer who wants to get this game and you don't think that the PC version should have couch co-op because you wouldn't use the feature or that it isn't a common feature found in PC games then don't sign the petition. Please don't post saying that the PC version shouldn't have offline co-op.  How does it hurt you if the feature is included? You still get to play and PC gamers and their friends/siblings get to play. Both benefit. So please I know it isn't common but it should still be in there.

I am in favor of this.  I don't think I've ever seen any split-screen coop games for the PC before though.

Keep on rollin'

On amazon.co.uk is avaliable pre-order of Lost Planet 2 PC DVD . Released on 18/05/2010. On shopto.net also PC DVD pre-oder dated on 26/06/2010. Are these sites reliable ? On amazon.co.de XBOX version is dated on 07/05/2010 but on amazon.co.uk on 11/05/2010. Anybody understands anything ? There is also big mess with pre-order bonus materials. In some countries PS3 gets bonus, but XBOX not. Where is the point ? Or maybe additional maps will be free for all ?

Bummer it never released with local coop. Developers need to realize that PC gamers want local coop too. I put together a website where I list all the local coop games for the PC I could find. Here's the URL: www.pccouchcoop.com. Enjoy!

Thanks for the link. I have many of those games but there's some on there that my bro and I will have to look into. It's pretty crazy these days how even the console versions of the game don't have offline co-op. I think the devs mainly do it as a marketing scheme, hoping I'll buy a 2nd console/PC and a 2nd copy of the game. Either way its outrageous and it made me decide NOT to buy this game. Too bad for you Capcom. I could've been your greatest fan.

I know this post is kind of old but I think there may be a workaround to get local split-screen co-op support for Lost Planet 2 on PC.

A guide is about to be published detailing how to get up to four-player split-screen on the PC version of Borderlands. It's based on another guide, however, the guy who put it together didn't properly know English so...well...yeah.

Anyway, there's another workaround for getting split-screen to work on PC games, such as thie Half-Life Engine guide for Split-Screen support, using DXwnd, Auto Window Manager and Process Explorer. It's similar to how to get split-screen support active for Borderlands.

Basically, I've been messing around with trying to get multiple instances running of Lost Planet 2 using DXwnd and Process Explorer. I've managed to get two launchers open (running the DX9 version for the time being) but the second window always closes out and crashes.

If two windows can be opened at one time (and you use an offline GFWL profile) it might be possible to replicate a split-screen process for the PC version of Lost Planet 2.
