So we know that the story is about a civil war between six factions, so I'm thinking they're trying to tie that in somehow. They could either: 1) You choose a faction and you play as that faction throughout the multiplayer, kinda like in MAG. Highly doubtfull as for one, you can mix and match uniforms from different factions and two, that just wouldn't work with this type of game. 2) You decide in your mind which of the six factions from the story are the good guys, and you allie yourself with them for multiplayer. It doesn't affect the multiplayer in anyway, but there's a faction leaderboard just for fun. Again doubtfull since there would be no point to that. 3) Factions is just a new term for clans, trying to be clever. 4) Aint there always factions in online? Your team and the other team? Maybe he's just trying to mess with us. 15/3 ) Snow made a typo and meant to say "there are now fractions in the ONLINE battles," meaning now instead of just spamming SQUARE (or B) to activate a datapost we must now solve math puzzles with fractions. Seriously, I have no clue.

He lives! So what's the word on the demo? Just be patient? Oh, with launch day 2 months away and the community knowing as much of the story as possible without actually playing the game, does this mean we're finally gonna start getting online versus info?

I've kept quiet on it because I don't really have much to say on it. Honestly, it went out by mistake on a European magazine disc. So, of course, I just ask for your patience. You've been asking for a MP Demo, and we listened. It's almost time to talk about it... But not quite yet. If you're patient for a little bit longer, there's going to be some awesome news on that front.
Thanks for hanging in there guys. I know it sucks waiting a little more, but it will absolutely be worth it.

Nice, I'll take that as a confirmation (as if we hadn't caught on yet). Kudos to Capcom. I remember back when the first demo was still new you said something like "There are no plans on a multiplayer demo." So this is definitely a surprise for me.

I'm thinking it'll be by "race" of pirates (Jungle, Vagabundo, Snow, Nevec, etc.). Very interesting info.
