Sorry I have been quiet on this thread guys. I'll be honest with you: The demo went out early on that European magazine disk by mistake. Now, I don't want to spoil it all just yet, so I'll ask for a little patience from you. I know, I always ask you to be patient, but this time it will pay off very soon. You guys wanted a multiplayer demo, and we've been listening. It's going to be awesome. Hang in there! I'll have more to say soon. u make it sound like that when u release it...its going to be better than the one thats out
well it will be better, because then you'll finally have a full 16 player room, and those faction leveling things at the bottom of the screen might actually work (the demo could possible have leveling like the Bad Company 2 demo)
if they change it will people like me who already have it have to re-download it?
I don't think so. What i mean is that with the BC2 demo they used their own servers so you could level up to earn extra weapons and had real working leader boards. When the game was like a few days near, they shut down the server to the demo and reseted the boards. Because the new LP2 demo have those things at the bottom, it could be possible that Capcom will be taking that same approach. Meaning when the time is right for everyone to have the demo, the leveling symbols may start working on the servers.

"It'll be worth it." I'm guessing the demo on the disc isn't the demo we will be getting. I think it's going to have more content then we think. Snow, i have a question for you. When we rank up on the demo, will it be saved for the actual game aswell?

Knowing Snow, it won't take a month, maybe a week or two. Remember one time when he said "soon", and then a week later they released the new website, new trailer and the exclusives at *ugh* Gamestop? Man, i'm really excited!
@spartan: naw I don't think this'll be any different to the one Snow might be mentioning, he said the discs were released early than it was supposed to, so maybe it'll come out again on the next issue
Hold those thoughts guys!! I've a feeling its gonna be jam packed!! Not just a MP demo but maybe more!!
I'd love to try the split-screen feature, which makes me wonder... do you think there's a chance two players can battle against each other in multiplayer maps using the split-screen feature? I know the maps would feel really empty and the battles wouldn't be as intense, but it could be a nice way to practice and familiarize with the weapons and maps.
I'm asking this because I don't think two players using split-screen can get into a multiplayer match... that would be amazing, but I don't think it would be possible with the current technology, at least not without sacrificing a lot of the quality.

In gears1 and 2 you can split screen online multiplayer, and a few others but I can't remember...

^^Really? I didn't know that, it sounds great, as long as there isn't any sacrifice in quality or performance, of course. Well, now that I know that, I wish Capcom could do the same, it would be absolutely fantastic! :)

It would be neat if when creating a friendly non-ranked game you have the option to "enable splitscreen". Then either you or whoever joins can have a buddy instantly hop into a battle by pressing a single button. A combination of splitscreen and online, and all in an unranked game of course. Warhawk did this, and it worked like a charm and was really popular.

Splitscreen is in the game, and it was tough making it work. Your idea is cool, but there's no way we can do it now. It's too late. The game is getting ready to release in 2 months.

Yup, in 2 months, 2 hours, 50 minutes, and 45 seconds.

I definitely think splitscreen online could work, Gears 2 as an example with Horde Mode (right?). As for multiplayer matches, you mean Halo-like or MW2-like? Splitscreen matches? That would be great, but Snow just mentioned that its kinda late for an idea like that. He did say it's cool (Thanks to Seventy too!), so cross you're fingers for LP3! Overall, offline matches are definitely a go for me too!
Snow, we know that LP2 or Lost Planet in general, is a 3rd person shooter, did you guys consider a First Person view? I know it was mentioned before but i'm just wondering if Capcom considers this as an "extra view" maybe?
Yeah like horde mode, but in Gears 2 you could split screen online with any game mode, in both private and ranked matches. But idk first person is nice but to me it would seem awkward in this game(even though the first one had it's own style of first person). But there's a good chance that is still in and maybe even improved. I remember Snow saying that creating the sequel was about adding, not taking away. And in cc's second vid(near the end before he kills that guy) you can see in the menu that there is a camera changing option, so cross your fingers
