From what I saw, I only see patterns like in the first Lost Planet...Hopefully there will be an extra color pallet or something...

I'd suggest downloading it, and then replaying it in super slow mode, you'll notice a LOT more. The video itself cuts to different things extremely fast, especially the customization bit...
