I just want to know will the rifle have the same fire rate as in the original?
That is something you're going to have to see for yourself. I'll talk about the new weapons, but any of the old ones you'll just have to wait to see. There has been a lot of improvements on the old weapons. They sound bigger, and they've all seen visual improvements especially when being fired.

The Plasma Cannon is in the Heavy weapon type. So instead of a Rocket Launcher, you may see the Plasma Cannon if you have a character that has that as his Heavy Weapon.
