Firstly I would like to say hello Lost planet community

I just bought and downloaded this game off steam, however when I attempt to launch the game it wont start. Basically when I launch lost planet DX10 from steam I get the following error:

LOST PLANET EXTREME CONDITION has stopped working

Here is a copy of the error log:

Now My current spec is:

Geforce 8800 GTS 640 @ 600/2000
AMD 64 X2 4400+ @ 2.6ghz
DFI Lanpart NF4 ultra D
2 gigs OCZ XTC PC 3200 RAM
Creative X-Fi
Windows Vista Ultimate x64

All drivers are completely updated from the mobo/chipset drivers toi the GPU (Forcewear 163.11). Also my dx10 is updated to June 2006

the wierdest thing is the Demo runs without a hitch. As in pretty much flawlessly. Is their any indication as to what I may have done wrong. I have Paid for the game and downloaded via steam, all is up to date. Click Launch, select DX10 and this is what im thanked with for the money I have spent. I really hope their is a fix for this...

EDIT

If I go into the installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\lost planet extreme condition) I get the following error when I attempt to run Lostplanet dx10.exe :

This application has failed to start beacause Steam.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem

First off, thank you CAPCOM & Valve for the fix that finally got the DX9 version of the game running without the 1201 error.  However, DX10 still does not work!

I have the same problem as the others on this thread.   When trying to launch LP in DX10 mode from Steam, I get the following Steam error window popping up:  "Steam Error.  The game is currently unavailable.  Please try again another time."

Going into my (D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\lost planet extreme condition) I get the following error when I attempt to run Lostplanet dx10.exe:  "This application has failed to start beacause Steam.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."  I then copy the file into the same directory where the LP executable resides.  A second attempt to load LP DX10.  This time the game starts to load and then promptly crashes Steam.

I had bought this title specifically to try out a DX10-capable game.  So much for that...

specs:
Intel E6600 Core 2 Duo CPU
Gigabyte G965-DQ6 rev 1.0 motherboard
4 gigs OCZ XTC PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM
BFG 8800GTXOC2 768 video card (running 163.11 Beta drivers)
Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic sound card
Windows Vista Home Premium x64

I searched the forum and i see no support for this issue....  I have this problem to, and am returning the game tomarrow if i dont see any changes.  How about before releasing a game,  make sure it doesnt feel like its in beta with bugs that still need fixing, and compadibility issues.

This is rediculous.

I finally got this working

I copy an pasted the steam.dll into the lost planet folder, which is located in steam apps, common, lost planet.

after trying to run, it gave me a WMC error.. WMC stands for windows media codec, so i updated my driver.

if you dont wanna go through the validation process, windows media 10 doesnt need to.

Download that, and try to run the game
