After installing the downloaded trial of Lost Planet, Everytime I try to run the game all I get is the following error message.

Unable to locate component
"This application has failed to start because XINPUT1_3.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Is there a fix or somewhere to download this file?

My system is as follows:

Gigabyte GA-P35T-DQ6  Motherboard
Intel Quad core Q6600 cpu 2.4Ghz
ATI Radeon RX2900XT 512mb Video card
2 Gb Corsair PC10600 DDR3 ram 1333mhz
Viewsonic VX 2245wm 22inch HD Monitor
Seagate Sata 2 - 750Gb enterprise edition HDD

I was getting the same error message after installing the DirectX9 demo.
"This application has failed to start because XINPUT1_3.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." After finding the problem posted all over the place and trying multiple suggestions that did not help I finally found something that did.

Reinstalling DirectX9.0c from the Microsoft download section and the 94.24 Nvidia drivers did not correct my problem. I had to download and manually copy two dll files to get the demo to work.

Copy both files to c:\windows\system

Demo works fine on my machine after that with 40 FPS average during performance test.
