I have a X1950 pro and on DX9 my card performs better than 2900 XT and does not have any of the image quality issues. Most likely the 2900 XT have a driver problem which will be fixed.

I sure hope for AMD's sake. Their already going bankrupt and the release of this card isn't helping them a whole lot. Even if they do get it up to compete how it's supposed to it's still drawing alot more power under load against the 8800's
