As sven stated, it's more of a CPU issue than a GPU, that 7600GS (even if it's AGP) would have still run the game ok. But the game (coming from a 360) uses a lot of mlti-threaded code, just like Ghost Recond Advanced Warfighter did/does.

Just upgrade the CPU & Motherboard to a Dual Core setup and you'll be ready to go. Not sure if you can find a Mobo with AGP anymore though

You really should've saved your nickels and dimes for a dual core setup if you wanted a "gaming" machine for next gen games. Don't blame the developers for your mistakes and/or ignorance.

Thank you for the lecture.  It really straightened me out.  I had an opportunity to upgrade my computer to the best that I could afford, which was around 500 bucks, so I took it.  It may not have been the best investment, but it was a **** sight better than what I had.  If I had stuck with my AMD, I wouldn't have even CONSIDERED downloading the demo to Lost Planet.  The requirements state, A minimum of a Pentium 4 HT or AMD equivalent.  P4 what? 2.3ghz? 3.6?  What?  How am I supposed to guess what the minimums are when Capcom won't specify?  If I had SOME idea of how fast minimum processor speed was required, I probably wouldn't have posted.

Edit: Thanks SpykeZ.  I'll keep that in mind.

Yes, the minimum requirements do say P4. And it does run on your machine right? 1-7 FPS is still running ;)

It's always safe to say, that if your PC is on the MINIMUM requirements list, it isn't going to be pretty or very playable, but it will run.

Sometimes it's best to save your money for a lengthier period of time.
