Alright, now since this is such a well done port, I'll review this as if it were a PC game.

First and foremost, DX10 support? Hell yes-let's talk graphics.

Extremely well done visuals and nice crisp textures, along with the motion blur and shadows make this visually one of the best games the PC has seen in a while. 10 out of Direct-X 10. I didn't get an opportunity to try the DX9 version, though I'm sure the game isn't that much different looking, one of the key points MS tried to explain with dx10 was a performance improvement because of the architecture.

Gameplay

While the aiming feels a tad bit clunky, it's nowhere near unbearable, and I found I preferred the game with the WSAD/Mouse setup as opposed to my wireless 360 controller [Though, I may hook it up to the TV later tonight and give 'er a try in, you guessed it, ultra high 640x480SDTV resolution!!! and give it more time, as I'm not a console gamer(maybe a bit of wii sports)]. The 3 weapons I got a shot at trying before I died...twice...shut up, were the Machine Gun, the Shotgun(LOVED IT), and the Rocket Launcher. All three felt very well designed and had just the perfect punch to them, not too much recoil, not too little. Monsters - Friggin' creepy, though the AI could have been a bit smarter. 7.5 out of 10.

Multiplayer

Pending game release :)

Sound

Ambience is great for a snowy environment, I would of liked to have heard a bit of in-game music, but perhaps the full game will surprise me and throw some in, after all, it was a demo. Loved the weapon sounds, loved the critter sounds, 9/10.

Overall?

Loved it. Couldn't have expected better for a console game brought over to PC. Capcom has delivered a port of such superb status it has set the standard for me, and I'm sure I'll be disappointed as more console games from other companies are brought over and not given as much attention as this was, such as past titles from certain publishers we won't discuss(RS:Vegas/UBI, I'm looking at you.)

Very solid game from a solid team. Cannot wait to try out the multiplayer and full singleplayer story upon it's release.

I would however like to see more supported resolutions, and perhaps some remapping options for the controls, but only the full version will tell :).

I can concur with this just with the DX9. I just hope their reading our input. Im screaming for optimization, better screen rez support and fixing the clunky controls

Yep. We're listening as we always do here. :)

Also, welcome all of you to Capcomunity...

Keep the feedback coming (good, bad, otherwise...) and we'll be compiling it all for the team. Similarly I'm sure they're watching their Japanese forums and media outlets for feedback directly there too.

I wish I could share the same enthusiasm, unfortunately, the PC demo crashes on me after a minute of playing. Oh well, I've already beaten the game on 360, so doesn't look like I'll be picking the PC version up.

well being as sven is helping you out on the video part. Are you able to obtain another stick of memory to see if that help? 1 gig of memory hardley does the job anymore these days :(

Its a DDR memory, they hardly sell it anymore. I'll buy 2 gigs when I'll get a new mobo, so I'm not buying another gig of old memory. 1 Gig should be enough, are you freaking kidding me. Besides, its the video memory leak, not the pagefile.

Besides, another guy seems to have the same problem as me and he has 2 gigs... so should he get another 2 gigs?

I'm saying, its not the RAM. There is somethign else.

Hmm.. I'm more worried about it being a VRAM leak. That could cause issues for all. I'll check with my sisters 8800GTS-320 rig tomorrow and see if the same occurs.
