I got a missing xinput1_3.dll error!!! But I have this dll.  I updated DX via microsoft's tool and the dll error went away.  Now I get a black window and then it crashes to the desktop.

I am on Vista Ultimate. First the demo was crashing with a "XINPUT1_3.dll not found" error...

after updating the directX10 drivers....

I am know receiving an error : "Invalid display mode. 1280X720". My Pc is running in 1280X1024 and it does not support 1280X720. What a crappy demo....

Better chance next time Capcom...

nickmo: The radeon 1900XT IS NOT A DIRECTX10 CARD. dx9.0c, download the other version of lost planet.

vcadieux: Widescreen game, and your monitor DOES support 1280x720, you're just complaing like a child about stretching it. Press fix aspect ratio. Also try 1280x960. This game is great, RE4 is an example of a horrid PC port.

Geforce 8800ULTRA, 8800GTX, 8800GTS/320, 8600GTS, 8600GT, 8500GT
AMDATi HD2900XT

Those are the DX10 cards, if you do not have one of those, REGARDLESS OF OS, download the 9.0c version or you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY.

Dankill, try and run the game in windowed mode(alt+enter after it starts) and see if you can change it the 1280x960, that resolution IS supported by a 19 inch monitor. IF not, we'll have to hope Capcom releases a config tool from out of the game that allows us to select other resolutions.

Another issue is your driver (even if you didn't have a resolution problem).

The game is written with these Vista drivers in mind for your 8800:

Alt-Tab should get it to run in a windowed mode that could allow you to then go in game and set it to a resolution that your PC/monitor supports.
