So the new maps have been out a week and while I haven't had enough time to play them so that their every nook and cranny is entrenched into my mind, I will say this they are cool. But here's what I've noticed:
1. Ice Drop - Does anyone play this? It's so hard to get a room together on this it's rediculous. Like playing Island all over again. Not sure why it's not getting love, maybe it's to do with the lack of stuff on the map. From what I've played it's pretty but not much else...
2. Ruins - Great Map. Instantly loved it, would have loved to be able to get to the top of the ruins and into those tree's but that's o.k.. Have noticed a trend of only being able to find sniper matches on this map, hopefully that will change in the coming weeks. On a side note, maps like these immediately make me wish we could pick our starting weapon in team battles as it would really make the game interesting...
3. Lost Technology - My favorite, and I honestly didn't like the looks of it when I first laid eyes on it. I must say this map will keep me coming back for more. Though I worry that it might be one of those maps that seems fun at first but gets repetitive quickly, then again I'll enjoy finding out.:D
All in all a great addition to the Lp community, though as mentioned before we are sorely in need of new game modes, the maps are nice but people are mainly still playing the same ones they always have. Let's get some new life into this game already:D please....

I rate this map pack as the worst yet. This is just my opinion, so im not giving the people who like it a hard time (lets keep things civil). I am a close combat fighter so I enjoy the chaos. 1. Lost Tech. I like the close quarters, my type of fighting. But I don't find the graphics to my liking. I realize it was done on purpose I just like detail much better. Im a big graphics lover so the more detail the better. 2. Ice Drop. Up top is sniper fest. So I head down to the bottom and fight in there. Very beautiful map especially down below, the ice crystals are awsome. But if you end up on top. All I have to say is ROLL,ROLL,ROLL,ROLL,RUN,RUN,RUN you get the idea. 3.Ruins. Very pretty map and that is about it. Run, snipe, VS, snipe, run, vs, snipe and the match goes on. Bottom line and remember this is my opinion, I like small maps I don't play big ones, to much running and waiting. OH YEA. thank God for Battleground. WOOHOO!!!!

They are ok...
Lost Technology is my favorite of this map pack... takes a while to get used to it...
Ice Drop... just ok... I can endure it for my friends sake.
Ruins... Nice, pretty, but too big for me.

Lost Technology
I almost think they decided to make this map to be completely opposite of the standards the other maps were made by. And (this isn't sarcastic) I think that's the best thing about it.
I know there is a great map in here somewhere. I'm sure there is something to this map that can make it the coolest map out there. I'm positive. Seriously. But in all the time I've played it I can't figure out what it is. My guess is the only way to make this map awesome is to have it's layout completely imprinted (in embossed platinum diamond ink) on the back of your brain. No matter how hard I try it's just too confusing to get the teleporters and turns memorized. If I could I'm sure I could pop around like some kind of ghost ninja and it'd just be real darn great. But I can't, so in the end I give this map a "good" (at least untill i unlock my ninja prowess teleport abilities).
Ruins
This map is like a bad but hot girlfriend. Before I got it I wanted it sooooo bad. I wanted jungle and camo and trees and bushes and temples. It looked so mother lumpin' gorgeous. But when I finally got to go on a few dates with it I found it didn't have much to say beyond everyday events and digging for compliment. But it's easy to ignore mediocre dates when the girl is really hot. But it's carried on long enough that I can't tell it I love it with a straight face. It's too open and obvious. It's too big for a jungle level. In bits and pieces it's excellent. Each little section is great. But all strung together it falls over itself. I understand hardware limitations handling all the alpha values on the trees and grass and how too much of it would probably lag the game out(client side). But until I can play a map like dilapidation meets Predator...my jungle hunger is far from satisfied.
Ice Drop
I play post grab a lot so this map can pretty much kiss my sunshine. On certain layouts this map is more one sided than a trick coin. If you spawn on the top you just win. Granted if I could find a team (a WHOLE team)that knew how to lure instead of just run out gunning it might be a different story. But reality wins and that team doesn't exist when I play. In the end this map just feels unbalanced.
All in all on the new maps I have to keep in mind that the Lost Planet guys have put a lot of thought into the previous maps. The previous maps seemed very shallow and stupid at first but I found that the more time you give them the more interesting they get. Maps I used to hate are now my favorites. Maps I used to love I tend to avoid. Knowing that makes me think that I just haven't unlocked the secrets to these maps yet.

For the most part I love this pack!
Lost Tech - meh, gives me headache I play with team elim shotguns maybe only once or twice a session.
Ruins - My fav out of pack 3. Rifles matches are fun.
Ice Drop - My seconds fav. Rifles again are a blast to play.

I haven`t played them enough to give a final comment, but from what I´ve seen I like Ice drop best. And i hate that there are so many rifle matches on ruins, it takes all the fun out fighting an opponent you can´t even see.

I really don't play Ice Drop much, just because it's too big and too hard to get the enemies
