I use an LCD HDTV as my computer monitor.  Like 95% of the "720p native" HDTVs out there, the actual resolution is 1366x768.  I'm connected via the VGA port and just like many HDTVs with VGA ports the only supported resolutions are 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, and 1360x768.  Selecting any other resoultion gets me a nice blank screen except for a big "mode not supported" error from my TV.

Whatever resolution Lost Planet defaults to is not one of these resolutions.  So, while the game seems to  start fine (I can hear the menu music), I can't see it and therefore can't change the resolution.

Anyone know, how or where the game keeps it's settings so I can see if I can change the default res "manually"?

In the meantime, if Capcom or whoever is handling the port has any kind of intelligence, they might want to add support for 1360x768 and an outside of game configuration tool that allows you to select the resolution before you start so this can be avoided!

------edit-------

Figured that after the game started I could switch it to windowed mode with Alt-Enter and then change the resolution to 1360x768 (which thankfully the game does support).

Sadly it only prolonged the inevitable, I'm getting the same hard locks as everyone else.

Last time I checked, 1280x720 was in and works fine. So does 1280x800. The game is a PC version, not a "HDTV" version. Open it on a regular monitor and set your settings.

No hard-locks for me, what are your system specs? Can't help if you just whine and don't give any information.
