Earlier I tried the demo for Lost Planet 1(not colonies edition) and I noticed when I tried changing the key mapping to my 4th and 5th mouse button it did not recognize them. I have a Razer Death Adder which is a 5 button mouse. 
The thing is I can't try the demos for Lost Planet Colonies or Lost Planet 2 because there are no demos for those games on the PC.
Is Lost Planet one the only one of the three that has this problem?
I do plan on buying Lost Planet 2 for my PC, but if it doesn't detect my extra mouse buttons when key mapping I will not buy it.
All I really want to know is if Lost Planet 2 lets you use extra mouse buttons as keys unlike the first game.
