Games for Windows Live is going out the door, and we've seen news that several Capcom games are being moved to Steamworks.

But I haven't seen any word of Lost Planet 2 being updated in this manner yet - in fact, there are indications towards the contrary. LP2 is one of my all-time favorite co-op games for the PC, but it's dependency on GFWL makes it practically unplayable with this change. This is extremely disappointing - I convinced all my friends to purchase the game for PC as we go back to it repeatedly every year or so to play through it again. Now it sounds like we might not be able to anymore.

Will Capcom be updating this game to remove the dependency on GFWL?

What are you talking about ? LP2 is fully playable (coop and vs), GfWL is doing well and won`t be shut down , so where is the problem ? Some titles are migrating to STEAM, some are not. As long as i can play it (LP2) i really don`t care if it`s GfWL or STEAM.
