Hello, recently aquired the PC version of Lost Planet 2 via the stream sale and was quite excited to get back into it after 60 hours with the 360 version. However, I've encounted and issue that makes the game unable to start and certainly not playable.

Upon launching the game, the launcher pops up with the option to choose between the DirectX9 and DirectX11 versions. Choosing either brings the same outcome, the game closes and after a few seconds steam no longer says I am playing. This is the first game in my entire history as a PC gamer that I haven't even been able to get to start.

I have several friends who have the game and use Windows 8, similar Nvidia hardware, and the same driver version 320.49 and have the game work with no issues. I'd think it was a specific Windows 8.1 issue but every other game works, including other GFWL titles. Does anyone have an idea as to what possibly might be the issue? I really just want to play the game.
