... Late response, but good to hear that a player of the original games really enjoyed E.X. Troopers.

I'm in another position where I started with E.X. Troopers (PS3) and loved it and just started Lost Planet 1 on the PS3 with me having a lot of fun despite it not being the most stable game. I think there is a lot of room for E.X. Troopers to take notes from some of the 3DS action game competition (Monster Hunter and Legends 3 Prototype for two Capcom examples) as well as some console games like the original Lost Planet but it ended up being a gem refined to a near perfect sheen. 

Shame about the lack of localisation talk so far, but there are some recent rumblings about it being fairly easy for a fan translation to get started though I'd rather see Capcom make the steps even if the translation could be highly recommended to come with players buying a copy or patchable like Valkyria Chronicles 3 (we are still waiting for that too - SEGA but still).
