i am looking forward to this game but i got a few questions, i read an interview where someone involved in the development of the game said that 80% of the game will be spent either in the open snow, or in an ice cave and i am just worried while its looking like a great game i am just wondering how they will not bore us to death with a lot of snow and nothing else, everything will pretty much look the same if that is the case.

I am also concerned about the rig gameplay, it just does not look that fun(might be but on foot looks much more fun) does much of the game(at least the combat) has to take place in a rig? i know there is a lot of negativity surrounding this game because of a few changes from the previous 2 games but i have not played those games so i am not too concerned with the changes and unless it is 80% snow which would grow old really really fast it looks like a game with a great atmosphere so i just got a few concerns

thank you for any serious replies

I really can't say as I dunno what the game is going to look like, but as someone who really dug into the first Lost Planet I'll just say that the emphasis on snow is not something to be worried about. It's not just some generic setting; there's an extreme emphasis on your player's actual mobility in snow. So when the snow gets thick it's tough to walk; or when it's blistering cold your player fatigues faster.

It's actually a really thoughtfully designed set-up. I've seen some people on here defend LP2 and say they wish for desert scenarios--- personally, I straight-up bailed on LP2 because I thought it was missing the greatest part of the original LP, which is just snow.

It sounds small, but really it's just one of those so-thoughtfully crafted things that it's easy to appreciate after some time. It embraces the realism of harsh winter conditions but also retains just being a fun game; I'm sure LP3 will maximize on the original formula even more so.

thank you, i know a lot of people dont like the look of it but i love the atmosphere of the game(from what i have seen), i read an interview where one of the creators said that the combat in the rig takes a while to get used to but once you do its fun, they seem to do snow really well, some of the enemies do not look like too much fun but its always hard to tell till i actually play the game.

thanks for the answers, some of the facilities(not sure what kind yet but they looked like abandoned military facilities but again since the game is mostly a civilian expedition at the time of the game its hard to tell what they are) but they looked creepy and fun to explore, i liked hoth too(well the base which has most of the characters looks a lot like the base from hoth)

will there be many human enemies in the game? i tend to rather fight them than non human enemies but either way i am looking forward to this game and thank for you answering some of my concerns
