Most likely not since its due to be released in 2 months, but its interesting that Capcom says there is a "lack of quality due to excessive outsourcing" (which many fans have been saying from the get go), the fact its been delayed (twice I think, not sure), and Capcom will be making a future announcement of what games will be cancelled.

In either case, this doesn't bode well for the franchise.

I was coming here to post about this. Here's the PDF with the Forecast Revisions and Planning.

"Strategies, plans, outlooks and other statements that are not historical facts are
based on assumptions that use information currently available and reasonable
judgments. Actual performance may be significantly different from these
statements for a number of reasons.
In the entertainment industry, which includes Capcom, performance may be
highly volatile because of diversifying user needs and other changes in market
conditions. Items that can affect Capcom’s performance include: (1) the
number of hit titles and sales volume in the Consumer Online Games Business,
which accounts for the majority of sales; (2) progress in developing home video
games; (3) the popularity of home video game players; (4) sales outside Japan;
(5) changes in stock prices and exchange rates; (6) alliances with other
companies concerning product development, sales and other operations; and (7)
changes in market conditions. Please note that this is not a complete list of
factors that can influence Capcom’s operating results."

As for LP3, chances are high that I'm not buying it since I don't feel it meets nor exceeds the standards set by the past two games, but I'll hold my judgement atleast until the demo comes out.

Bad news and good news.

Bad news cause it could affect LP3, and this "excessive outsourcing" could be SPARK. I hope they are working on this game details now and that`s why its delayed again. But i had same hopes with LP2. And they didn`t polish anything for 5-6 months (LP2 delay).  I`ll buy it anyway cause i want to immerse in my beloved EDN III universe again.

Good news is that they want to bring back developing to Japan. In my opinion all they got to do is get along with Lee Byung Hun/BH Entertainment and Keiji Inafune and continue LP1 story without changing anything. Especially animations, weapons and multiplayer.   It`s soooooooooo easy...

Yo! Wayne and the Gang are back! lol

I'm not sure anymore about to Keiji part, I'm sure he was probably the only reason why Megaman was still alive and why LP was like an advanced Megaman Legends.... but Keiji's been saying some questionable **** lately... not to mention working with Spark himself on Yaiba:NGZ (If it still exists) But he seems to be caught up in trying hard to appeal to the West too.. I think what most Japanese don't understand that Marketing especially TV Marketing, references, and pop culture are very important when it comes to sales, not the actual game itself (but that doesn't mean half ass it by any means, marketing + quality = success).

Next gen looks pretty scary for most Mid-tier companies, (a lot which are Japanese) and I don't feel that it's so bad their games are actually "niche" per say, but the fact that they've accepted the title as something to avoid, instead of creating demand for it, (which is very possible through the internet.) My recommendation would be to avoid releasing games on a platform that is heavily oversaturated with competing AAA titles. The base may seem rewarding, but it's most likely that you are not going to pull COD numbers, especially with new or unknown IPs. I believe exclusitivity also brings demand for an IP, so I recommend that as the best way to go.

My actual hidden agenda. (Capcom, you and Japan need to be behind Nintendo.)

This is from the @LostPlanet twitter feed. They had some sort of communit/press event in the UK. It looks like they were showing off the multiplayer. I'm not sure whether or not LP3 is in trouble, but this is kind of a good sign that it isn't... but who knows at this point?

Thank you adam for the drop!! The camera screens look hella nice. (Can't see any gameplay screens but the title and menus look nice.) So does the food. They are most definitely eating better than we did back when Capcom hosted Fight Club in ATL to promote MVC3. The pizza had something in common with the game tho.... both tasted like cardboard. (Alright mainstream liked it, but I'm an old school fighter pre-SFIV lol. Which is why I'm glad to hear Capcom may be going back in-house. I don't want Dimps and Eighting handling my favorite series anymore.)

But back on subject, Has Capcom released a Stream, Video, or anything on this? -hops in the Youtubemobile-

Lost planet 3 is one of many Capcom's outsourcing their own IP's to western developers, so far the result was a mixed bag.
