Since the update that i was required to download was downloaded i have been constantly bombarded by *the match host has cancelled the mission, returning to lobby* 3 seconds after joining and this has happened with 30 matches in a row with all diffferent people and i havnt been able to play since the patch :(

Anyone else having the same problem? *also i didnt change anything to do with my internet so the update is the only thing i can think of that caused it.

My location: Ireland
My level: 23
Version of game (CE/Norma): Dont know what this is :P
Router: ZyXEL Prestige 600 series
Connection Type (DSL/Cable/Dial Up): DSL
ISP: BT
Xbox Connection (wireless/ethernet cable): Ethernet cable

Also nope i havnt downloaded another patch this week my brother however downloaded a sonic addon mission pack from the Xbox live marketplace but i can fail to see how this may be the source of the problem

R&D is working on this now. I'll update as I find out more. If you can provide more information, that would be helpful too.

Your location:
Your level:
Version of game (Collector's Edition / Normal):
Router:
Connection Type (DSL/Cable/Dial Up):
ISP:
Xbox Connection (wireless/ethernet cable):
Signal strength (this is the ! symbol next to the GamerTags - Dark grey = Bad / White = Good):

Also, have any of your other games required a patch or have been patched in the previous week?

I also encourage people who are NOT experiencing issues connecting to post their information as well. The more information we have, the more we can narrow down the issue (hopefully). Please feel free to add any other information that you might feel is relevant.

I'm sorry for the trouble.

(Also, I'm going to sticky this until there's a resolution)

I Patched crackdown early this week after initial install. I also patched gears of war today, but it was after the lost planet issue, I did as a test. I might also add that I seem to have this same issue with gears of war. Although not as bad, i get into that multiplayer some times. I never had a issue with gears before today.

Anyone else test gears of war fr this issue?

I added another item:

If you can please also provide the signal strength when you're in the lobby. It is represented by the ! next to the GamerTags.

Dark Grey/Black = Extremely bad connection

White = Very good connection

The darker the ! symbol is, the worse the connection is.

Have not played Xbox for a few days, no other game patches, but was there not a recent 360 system level patch?  Could that be related?

For those who are reporting their connection strength as white, please make sure that it's the exclamation mark (!) next to the Host's name. That represents how strong the connection between you and him is.

So just to verify, those who are reporting their connection strength as white, please confirm that the symbol that you are noting is next to the Host's name.

I've got the issue as well. It's basically become impossible to play online. The strange thing is, it didn't start immediately. I played 2-3 matches immediately after patching and had no problems, but now I get ejected from every game without fail.

Location: Alberta, Canada
Level: 51
Version of game: Collector's Edition
Router: Presently a Trendnet TEW-432BRP, but I've also tried a with the Xbox 360 hooked directly into my modem, a PC running mOnOwall, and a WinXP PC using Internet Connection Sharing. I don't think this is really relevant (Edit: Or rather, not causing the problem).
Connection Type: Cable.
ISP: Shaw
Xbox Connection: Ethernet
Connecion Strength: White (on the host, naturally)

None of my games have required patches in the last week.
It also doesn't seem to have anything to do with the location of the host - I've had the problem joining games hosted in the US, Canada, Japan, and half a dozen EU countries with weird-*** flags I don't recognize. It also doesn't seem to be anything else on the user end like excessive (or any, for that matter) network activity on other PCs connected to the router.
