Sorry people but has anyone else had issues loading the demo yet?

Download was fine,Installed no problem..Rebooted the PC even though that wasn't needed.

Ok then fired up the game via the desktop shortcut and got this.

AppName: lostplanetdx9.exe     AppVer: 0.0.0.0     ModName: lostplanetdx9.exe
ModVer: 0.0.0.0     Offset: 00002bbe

The EXE crashes instantly. My specs are kinda low but they still meet minimum requirements.

Windows XP fully updated.
2.4ghz CPU
1GB Ram
GeForce6800 Graphics

DirectX 9C April 2007
93.81 Nvidia Drivers..

etc etc etc..Any ideas?

Thanks.

Do you have a firewall or any programs running in the background?

Just my AVG Anti Virus.

edit-- I  manually added the lostplanet.exe to windows firewall just to be sure but that didn't change anything.

edit2-- I just tried the repair feature within the install and that didn't help either.

I get errors, too, but for DX10 version.  There isn't anything on the Capcom support forum for Lost pc demo.  Game doesn't load just spits out error message about missing xinput1_3.dll.  I downloaded the DX web update from microsoft and the error changed, but it flashes on the screen too quickly to read.

Yes, I  am running windows vista ultimate.

I have DirectX9C (latest version) from Microsoft's website and Vista users will already have a newer version of DirectX

But thanks anyway..

People having Issues may want to try the Steam version of the Demo.

http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php … AppId=6530

I'm just installing it now so this may fix it.

EDIT---- Installed Steam version and it gave me the exact same error...

Cheers for now :)

Hey guys. I had the same problem running the DX10 version in Vista, but I was able to find the missing files. They're originally from the DX10 SDK, so my guess is the the guys doing the PC port left some of their dev files out of the distribution. Download these two files and put them in your C:\Windows\system\ directory.

xinput1_3.dll

d3dx10_33.dll

Hope that solves the problem!
